Dave Stief was a 7th round draft pick out of Portland State in 1978. His best season with the Big Red was his rookie season when he hauled in 24 catches for 477 yards and 4 TDs. He played 5 seasons for the Cardinals (1978-1982) before retiring as a Redskin in 1983. He passed away from esophageal cancer in 2000.
